Introduction    In October 1997, Barbara Andrew from Baltimore, Maryland, USA signed Attila's guest book saying      "I am a 7th grade teacher. Just finished THE CAY and am interested in having students write to someone in Curacoa (story takes place here). Would you be interested in being our e-mail pal? Please let me know."      Sure, Attila thought, what a great idea. He was looking forward to being an e-mail pal.
